Sonny Dickson has returned with another size comparison as the Apple Watch Pro rumors continue to circulate online. This time, shared photographs of what are said to be cases for the 49mm Apple Watch Pro alongside cases for the smaller Series 7 watches and the future Series 8 watches. The Apple Watch Pro seems to be significantly larger than the Apple Watch Series 7 devices that are presently being sold by the firm, which measure either 45mm or 41mm, as well as the speculated Series 8 gadget that is also anticipated to be revealed on Wednesday.
The size comparison follows leaked cases and CAD designs from yesterday, which showed a new button to the left of the flat Apple Watch Pro display and a new protrusion to the right holding a mic, button, and Digital Crown that now looks to be better shielded from accidental presses. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg subsequently provided evidence that the sketches were genuine.
Gurman has tweeted in the past that the larger display, battery, and durable titanium shell of the Apple Watch Pro “probably won’t appeal to many buyers, since it’s likely to be larger than most people’s wrists.” This statement was made with respect to the Apple Watch Pro. Indeed, for some people, 49 millimeters would be too large, while for others it would be too tiny.
For instance, as someone who is both tall and active, I find the 47mm case size of the Garmin Epix 2 to be a little on the cramped side. I much like the bigger 51mm casings. On the other hand, my friend discovered that the 41mm Garmin Fenix 7S Sapphire Solar was the ideal size for the tiny wrists she had. Garmin watches, on the other hand, come in a circular form, so when it comes to the Apple Watch Pro, we’ll have to see how much of a difference that shape actually makes.
