Other variables to consider while selecting a breed are energy level, temperament, and exercise requirements. Furthermore, each dog is an individual, and intelligence within a breed can vary.

  1. We have a 5yr old Rottweiler /Pitt mix he is huge 110lbs easy … but he’s the sweetest most gentle dog I have ever owned.
When he was a pup my son & I would talk alot to him & now it’s like he knows the English language like a person I contribute that to his intelligence as well.
The stories about Pitts & Rottweilers being mean &evil. I just don’t see, then again it could very well be that he’s just mommas baby doggie & with the proper love & attention will change what the world believes

    • I wholeheartedly agree. I’ve known a couple of rotties and they always wanted to be lap dogs! I have also owned two pit bulls. I just don’t see aggression, fighting, etc. They are as lovable as my pug! Michael Vick is a vicious, evil man. He should still be in prison! Best Friends Animal Sanctuary took in 8-10 of Vicks pits. They rehabilitated them and they were precious, loving and gentle companions. God bless them! Vick is evil and still making millions.
