This best-smelling perfume for women was made by Olivier Poleg, Carlos Benaim, and Domitille Berthier. It smells like walking through your own secret flower garden at night.

Find fresh freesia, heady rose, osmanthus, and Sambac jasmine, all set on a stage of patchouli and vanilla that is both sweet and spicy.

Yes, Flowerbomb is very girly and fun, but it also hints at something a little more Dionysian—daring, determined, and incredibly addictive.

The heady rush starts off with lulling notes of lavender and light hints of vanilla flowers.

While subtle pear auras and bold bergamot tangs speak to the tempting and fascinating.

The complicated scent hits impossible high notes, just like the pop singer. At first, it takes us to the yard, where there are beautiful flowers and fruits that aren’t supposed to be eaten.

But when we breathe it in again, we understand that it takes us to a place with spoonfuls of whipped creme de coconut, rich pralines, and sensual, musky cashmere blankets to keep us warm.

Smells like: Giving into temptation—but without the consequences.

Made for Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s 250th anniversary, this high-end fragrance has really come into its own and earned a great reputation.

What’s it called? There’s a story behind it, of course. Baccarat Rouge 540 gets its name from the temperature at which the famous ruby-red crystal was made.

The sweet vanilla, orange blossom, and jasmine in Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium’s coffee will wake you up faster than any espresso ever could. Addictive? We’d agree.

It’s a strong favorite because it’s sexy, girly, and bold, with a sprinkle of notes that are wide-eyed and awake, softened by a sugary sweetness.

This perfume for women is almost sweet enough to eat. It also has depth, warmth, and longevity, which make it a winning combo.

Black Opium is well-balanced and seductive. It has flower notes that linger on the skin for hours after the last spray.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs grabs your hand and swings you toward the maypole, where people are wearing flower hats and dresses that flow.

Marc Jacobs makes sure that there is never a dull moment, and Daisy is the breath of fresh air we’ve all been looking for.

It wants to be taken seriously, but it doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Smells like: Lavender tea with a spoonful of honey.

    • I am also surprised. I love Burberry, have worn it fo”r years, after Mikhail Barishnakov’s “Micha” was no longer available. I adore its scent, it even lingers on my clothes and I am still asked what is the lovely perfume I am wearing. I think it’s perfect at all times & occasions.

  1. Aside from Chanel I don’t use any of these which I am quite happy about. I wear a wide variety of scents depending on my mood and what I’m wearing. I am regularly asked what I’m wearing. On some occasions I even use a mens cologne! It’s all about me and how I want to vibe through my day.

  2. I must say the scent I wear and get the most compliments on is none of the above. Jimmy Choo .. I want Choo..is by far the best fragrance I have ever purchased.

  3. I’ve tested all of these and they were all typical super floral events that did not compliment me. Luckily I know which notes work with my body chemistry.

  7. I was surprised that my all-time ‘go to’ Angel didn’t make the list. It’s an older one that I’ve used for many years. I also love Lancôme La Vie Est Belle! I think there are 4 others on this list that piqued my interest enough to try. Thank you for this article, I enjoyed it very much!

  8. All those listed are newer perfumes. What about the classics that were not mentioned such as Evening In Paris, Chanel No. 5, Blue Carnation, Joy, Windsong, and L’Air du Temps.

    • I’m with you. I love my “throwback” scents from the 70s and 80s such as Clinique Aromatics Elixir, Obsession, original Opium, Youth-Dew, Lancôme Magie Noire, Avon Timeless, Chanel Coco, Fabergé Tigress, Jovan Woman, and others. I have a few of the “newer” scents i.e., Black Opium Extreme, Tom Ford Black Orchid, Coco Noir and Clinique Aromatics In Black.
To this younger generation, all of the perfumes listed would be considered “old lady” scents, a term that I truly despise. Those older scents were for real grown women, powerful, independent women who took no BS from anybody. And they had staying power. The ones nowadays really don’t last long, but it depends on your personal body chemistry. Anyhow, I apologize for this long post, but I needed to say this.

  9. I agree! There is nothing better than a few of the classics. Such as Channel No 5, Joy and L’air du Temps. More modern is Cashmere Mist and L’eau D’ Issey Florale, they are all ones that have men coming in for another whiff.

  10. I saw two of my favorites, La Vie Est Belle, and Mademoiselle, but I am overly surprised I didn’t see Alien Goddess Intense by Mulger. They’ve other amazing scents, which all are to live for, and I also love the idea that you can refill it yourself. Ladies, I must say, you’ll not be disappointed, and you can thank me later. Lol
